with its minimal footprint, bamboo 内饰, and open terraces, 的‘monkey house’就是以一种温柔而微妙的方式与大自然联系。 由工作室Marko Brajovic在天堂般的森林中实现的, 巴西, 的two-bedroom 住宅 takes inspiration from 的verticality of 的forest and 设计 solutions already found in 的natural world.

‘a few years ago, 的monkeys that lived at 的foot of serra in paraty disappeared. it was said that it was due to 的yellow fever that supposedly spread among 的primate families. we were very sad. at 的beginning of 的2020 pandemic, 的day we started thinking about a house that is connected to 的magnitude of 的trees, there they appeared. a family of capuchin monkeys, a complete tribe! they came back and taught us why, where, and how to 设计 our project,’  解释 马尔科·布拉乔维奇工作室

的monkey house turns 的horizon on its side and instead follows 的growth of trees, which soar towards 的sky in search of sunlight and energy. 的strong verticality of 的building is achieved by interlocking timber components (all of 的same profile), covered by galvalume skin and thermoacoustic insulation. 的house was installed between 的trees and occupies a footprint of just 5m x 6m to avoid interfering with 的native vegetation.

to 设计 的supporting structure of 的house, 的team observed which plants are best adapted to 的topography of 的land and which strategies are adopted to allow stability in 的vertical growth. 的‘juçara’ (euterpe edulis) is a palm species of 的atlantic forest that is structured through anchor roots. adapting itself to 的sloping terrain and distributing loads over multiple vectors, it ensures stability for its thin and very tall trunk. for this project, 马尔科·布拉乔维奇工作室 applied 的same strategy, creating a series of thin and dense pillars, inspired by 的morphology of 的roots of 的juçara palm, and thus ensuring 的stability of 的vertical construction.

的compact house has 581 ft2 (54 m2) of internal area and another 344 ft2 (32 m2) of covered space, providing a very strong connection with 的natural context of 的forest. 的program comprises a kitchen, bathroom, and two bedrooms that can be turned into living spaces. two side terraces provide cross ventilation and a generous terrace on 的top floor offers a multifunctional space for physical activities, study or meditation.

的interiors incorporate handmade bamboo finishes, curtains made with fishing net from local communities, furniture that combines japanese 设计 objects with indigenous guarani handicrafts, and metal appliances from docol and mekal. 的landscaping project is simply 的reforestation of 的secondary forest where 的house is located. 的wild aesthetic surrounding 的house was possible by driving 的natural growth of 的same endemic plants from 的surroundings, thus reinforcing 的experience of 的house being immersed in an original natural context.
