短剑’s ‘endless’椅子最初是从埃因霍温设计学院毕业的项目开始的,现在已经得到了进一步的发展。‘endless’ sees the production of furniture via a giant robot. small bits of recycled refrigerators are poured into the top of the robot arm and melted. this liquid material is then extruded from a moving arm which draws the plastic material into an line which is layered to form a chair or table. this method of production allows one to emphasize gradients of colors and the structure of the furniture piece, and is complete in approximately three hours.
